It has now been 10 days since I was on the red circle in Wilmington, DE for the 2nd Annual TEDxWilmingtonWomen. When I consider that I probably had 100 hours invested in my ten minute talk it seems a bit
insane. Truthfully, I literally put entire areas of my life and business on hold to get ready to present a TEDx talk. So, was it worth it? Absolutely!

Here are several things I consider so valuable from the experience. I set an outrageous goal and was able to accomplish it. I now feel like every option is on the table if I am willing to go for it. No dream is too big or unattainable. Change the financial habits of the majority of Americans? You bet I can! Affect tens of millions of people to have better and more abundant lives? Completely within my reach!

I was forced to bring brevity and clarity at a level I’d never been challenged to before. This will make me a much better contributor in almost every area of my life and relationships. I have a new paradigm…it is ok to think, even a lot, before I open my mouth to speak! And last, but not least, for two days I was surrounded by amazing, smart, uber achieving people. Each of the thirty seven speakers had some seed of their success they were willing to share with others. Most of the world will only get to know them by their ten minute TEDx talk and will still be blown away with what they see and hear. I was given the fantastic gift of spending quality time with many of them and beginning relationships that will last for the rest of my life.

In the end all I can really say is thank you, TEDxWilmington, for including me in this outstanding event. I hope I lived up to your expectations. You exceeded mine.
