TEDxWilmingtonLive: Age of Amazement
was held Saturday, April 28th, 2018
at Wilmington Friends School MORE INFO
Speaking at TEDxWilmington was an absolute dream come true, and definitely worth all of the hard work and hours of rehearsal and preparation. The adrenaline, the feeling of connection to the audience, and passion for the topic all combined was like nothing I’ve ever felt before…it was absolutely exhilarating.
But it wasn’t just the actual talk that made this experience so rewarding…more than anything, it was the people I had the opportunity to work with and meet and you, the audience.
The TEDxWilmington team was so professional, approachable, and supportive. Their commitment and dedication to spreading important thought ideas to the world through selfless volunteerism was impressive and heartwarming. They went out of their way to make sure all of us speakers were comfortable. After just a couple of days, we became family. I have an incredible amount of gratitude and appreciation for the TEDxWilmington tribe!
I also have tremendous respect for all of the speakers I shared the stage with on April 28th. I had the opportunity to meet some of the most courageous, inspiring people I’ve ever met. Their ideas excited and challenged me, and their support and friendship uplifted me. They too, became family.
Lastly, I am grateful to all of you in the audience and online that day that watched my TEDx talk on the the Gift of Gratitude in Foresight. Thank you for allowing me to be open and vulnerable. Thank you for letting me know how much my story touched you, and how you plan on putting the Challenge Future Gratitude Reframe (CFGR) process in your toolbox to use when you find yourself resisting times of change and challenge. That was my one hope for this whole process, to share what I’ve learned and to help others along the way!
