Living The Good Life: Religion, Human Flourishing, and The Common Good
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this a wonderful event!
This TEDxWilmingtonSalon is organized by TEDxWilmington in partnership with Christ Church Christiana Hundred.
- Saturday, April 30, 2016
- Parish Hall: Christ Church Christiana Hundred, 505 E. Buck Road, Wilmington, DE 19807
A very special opportunity to listen to three TEDx talks being given in front of a live audience at the first TEDxWilmingtonSalon of 2016. The three speakers are: Dr. Larycia Hawkins, whose Facebook post on December 10, 2015 on wearing a hijab and her position that Muslims and Christians worship the same God resulted in her being placed on administrative leave by Wheaton College; Imam Adeel Zeb whose Muslim call to prayer at Duke resulted in Franklin Graham the son of evangelist Rev. Billy Graham calling on the donors and alumni to withhold their support from Duke until this policy is reversed and Duke eventually bowed to this pressure; Yale Theology Professor Miroslav Volf is one of the most important theologians of the 21st century whose recent book was Flourishing: Why We Need Religion in a Globalized World.
Who Should Attend
Anyone who is curious about the Common Good, Human Flourishing and Religion and how they all relate.
