Diana Simone planted the seed that grew into one of the most successful grass roots movements in the history of this country. In response to a local tragedy, Diana had an idea and then took inspired action to share her idea with the people capable of implementing it. The results were the beginning of “Amber’s Plan”, later to become known as the Amber Alert.

To date, the Amber Alert has been directly responsible for the rescue and safe return of 881 abducted children in this country alone (6/26/17 National Center for Missing and Exploited Children). It has now spread to 22 other countries world-wide!

For her role in the establishment of the Amber Alert system, Ms. Simone was invited to The White House in 2003 and was present in the Rose Garden when then President George W. Bush signed The Amber Alert into the “law of the land” in all 50 states! As well, she accepted an invitation to appear on The John Walsh Show. In 2005, the Fort Worth Business Press awarded Diana “The Great Women of Texas – Woman of Influence Award”. In 2008, she was acknowledged by the Reverend Michael Beckwith and Agape International Spiritual Center for standing for peace and non-violence in our communities.

Diana’s natural passion for helping others led her to a career in therapeutic massage, which she has been practicing for 26 years, achieving National Certification in 1992 and recently becoming Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage. In addition to her interest in natural health, Diana is also deeply spiritual and completed a yearlong seminary program offered by The Beloved Community, becoming an ordained Minister of Peace in 2007.

At 72 years young, Diana still maintains a full work schedule divided between two office locations, volunteers for Shine Therapy providing on-site massage for cancer patients and is an Ambassador for Habitat for Humanity. As much free time as possible is spent with her two amazing grandchildren and spoiling her rescue dog, Grace.
