Hudson Taylor, a three-time NCAA All-American wrestler at the University of Maryland and former wrestling coach at Columbia University, is the Founder and Executive Director of Athlete Ally. Athlete Ally’s mission is to educate and activate athletic communities to eliminate homophobia and transphobia in sports and to exercise their leadership to champion lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) equality.

Hudson founded Athlete Ally in 2011 after receiving thousands of emails from parents and closeted athletes in response to his wearing an LGBT equality sticker on his wrestling headgear.

Since then, Athlete Ally has worked with the NBA, WNBA and MLB and led the Principle 6 campaign which convinced the International Olympic in the non-discrimination clause of the Olympic Charter.
