TEDxWilmington Conference 2017
Now more than ever, with the advancements in technology, we see our world become limitless. What limits have you overcome in your life? We challenge our community to be endless and take on the most challenging issues that we are facing today. Be limitless. We encourage each of our Event Speakers to engage the audience with questions that tie "Limitless – Ideas Beyond Borders" into their talks.
Our theme was incorporated by the 35 Event Speakers from 3 countries, including Australia, the British Virgin Islands, and the United Kingdom. It has also brought together 14 states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, who gave 33 TEDxWilmington talks.
On Thursday, October 27, 2016, this event was held at the historic World Cafe Live at The Queen in downtown Wilmington. There were be four sessions throughout the day, with each session lasting for 90 minutes with a 60-minute break in between. One of the 90-minute sessions was a live simulcast of TEDx talks given at TEDWomen in San Francisco. This event highlighted women that are change-makers and creators in their fields.
7th Annual TEDxWilmington Conference: NOW WHAT?
The 7th Annual TEDxWilmington Conference was the 31st TEDxWilmington event since TED granted the license to Ajit Mathew George in 2011. The theme for 2018 was "NOW WHAT?" We live in an age of information with a seemingly endless flow of ideas, yet we have almost no idea what to do with the most of the time. With excellent resources at our fingertips, we pose the vital question of what to do with it all.
What is the next step in the right direction? NOW, WHAT? 2018's annual conference showcased 30 speakers and performers (plus a horse!) from around the world who presented their Ideas Worth Spreading in a TEDx talk.
